Your Future is our Future – Dare to Dream Career Week

Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro’s Office of Public Engagement is partnering with the School District of Philadelphia to host the first annual “Dare to Dream at Career Week” from March 25-29, 2019.  During this week, SDP high school students will be introduced to a myriad of career opportunities by shadowing professionals in local businesses.  Students from various Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs will visit corporations and government agencies aligned to their career interests, and will have the opportunity to explore their program of study through first hand interactions with professionals in the field.

Academies @ Roxborough 10th grade Biotechnology program attended GlaxoSmithKline, Tuesday March 26, 2019. Students were picked up from school and Lunch was provided as part of the trip experience.

All students participating in Career Week attended a Kickoff event at Drexel University Monday, March 25th including a campus tour.  Attorney General Shapiro and Dr. Hite provided remarks, and Quincy Harris from the Q Show on Fox 29 emceed the event.  Students were picked up from school at 8:00AM and return to school at 2:00PM Lunch will be provided as part of the trip experience.
