Summer School Information

Summer School is an opportunity for our students to earn up to two (2) credits needed to stay on track for graduation. Summer School is available for students in grades 9 – 12 who have failed a previous course, and for seniors who are working to complete Act 158/Pathway 5 Evidence and/or the Multidisciplinary/Service Learning Project requirement.

For seniors only:

Seniors needing up to three (3) credits will be required to earn two credits in traditional Summer School Credit Recovery and the third credit virtually through PVA’s asynchronous program at no cost to families during the five-week cycle.

The expectation is that schools implement a schoolwide communications plan to ensure that all students and families who may need Summer School are aware of their status and the supports available, if needed. Please review the Timeline of Events below and utilize your school’s communication channels to communicate with your community about Summer School. The timeline details expectations for all schools related to clear, consistent communication with our students and families.
