Academy @ Roxborough teachers gave up a piece of their summer for a two-day training held at Roxborough HS on July 18th and 19th.   A representative from AAIS provided professional development on Teaching on the Block and Differentiated Instruction focusing on identifying power standards and generating learning targets.  Teachers were given time to plan lessons and model specific teaching strategies highlighted in the professional development sessions.  These strategies use the Big Ideas, Enduring Understandings, and Essential Questions to Construct a learning progression and purposefully plan and align daily instruction.  Academy @ Roxborough teachers are always striving to increase student engagement and success.
