Schuylkill Nature Center visits Academies @ Roxborough

The Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education came to visit Mrs. Ragazzino’s & Mrs. Doyle Environmental Science classes at The Academies @ Roxborough.  “The Schuylkill Center inspires meaningful connections between people and nature.  (They) use our forests and fields as a living laboratory to foster appreciation, deepen understanding, and encourage stewardship of the environment.”  They presented the ‘Amazing Adaptations’ program with a live Owl, Crow & Turkey Vulture in the classroom.  The students learned how all living things possess unique features to help them survive in their environment, and that each has a niche (Special job).  The students were able to interact with the animals and enjoyed the experience.
