High Point University Awarded to SAMUEL JOHNSON
On Friday, High Point University awarded SAMUEL JOHNSON with its Randolph Scholarship. Sam immediately accepted it.
The Randolph Scholarship, funded by Netflix co-founder Marc Randolph, provides an exceptional Roxborough business student with a full four-year ride at High Point University in North Carolina. The scholarship not only covers tuition, room and board but travel expenses to and from the university. Sam was also selected as a Bonner Scholar. Bonner Scholars deliver community service to underpriveleged residents in the city of High Point. Because Bonner Scholars are paid for their work, it not only fills the soul but the pocket too!
Sam is Roxborough’s second Randolph Scholar. Jardai Sharper ’19 is currently completing his first year of study at High Point.
Needless to say, this is a big deal. If you get the opportunity to congratulate Sam, please do. When things get back to something close to normal and we can socialize again, we will hold a celebration party for Sam and his family.
Mr. Fesnak
